YouTube Channel

It's official, y'all! I have finally setup a YouTube channel.  I've been waiting to write about it here until I figured it out a bit more. So far I only have four videos up but I'm planning on making a lot more. I want to do all the tutorials that I've shared on here plus more. I'm still learning and I know it'll take some time to get into the groove of it. I would appreciate if you all would take a look. I know that picture tutorials only do so much for some people so I'm really hoping this helps a lot more nuiMOs fans! Please continue to share your creations with me here or on Instagram @disneynuimosdiy Have fun crafting!

New Dress Patterns And Tutorial

Image
It's been a long time coming, but here are some new sewing patterns! I posted a sneak peek on my Instagram about a month ago and I finally got around to making some for the tutorial. These are two new dresses. I'm calling them a Wrap Dress and a Empire Waist Dress. The Wrap Dress is a completely new dress while the Empire Waist Dress is made just like the gathered dress I did earlier, so follow the tutorial for this dress here . The only difference is that didn't make the skirt portion as poofy. I know it can be hard to print these off. I may have a new way to share these but I'm not sure yet. So, for now, save the image and print to fill the whole page. The page size I've based these on should be 8.5" x 11". Please remember anything you make if just for personal use. Don't resell these patterns as your own or sell finished pieces made from these patterns. Thanks. =) WRAP DRESS TUTORIAL Here's What You'll Need: Fabric Thread Velcro (or other cl

Crochet Shoes (Flats, Mary Jane's, and Boots Included)

My nuiMO collection has grown exponentially and with more friends means a lack of shoes. Have you noticed this? My friends definitely needed more shoes and I thought I could figure out a crochet pattern fairly easily. I found out quickly that I had to make two patterns because Tigger's feet are huge compared to others' feet. I hope that's the case for everyone that owns him. With these patterns you can't stop at certain points to make certain types of shoes. You can make: flats, Mary Jane's, regular shoes, and boots. It's notated in the patterns where you can do this. As always stated, I'm giving these patterns for free but please don't use them in any way for profit. I'd be most grateful. Remember, these patterns are written in US abbreviations. What You'll Need: Thinner yarn Scissors E Hook (3.50 mm) Yarn Needle Stitch Marker Abbreviations: MAR = magic adjustable ring ch = crochet sc = single crochet st = stitch inc = increase stitch inv dec =

Removing Donald's and Daisy's Shirts (And Making Them Usable)

Image
I know that there are quite of few of us out there in the nuiMOs community that just wonder, "Why didn't Disney make Donald's and Daisy's shirt removable?" They did it with Minnie from the beginning so I was always curious. Well, I finally got fed up with Donald's And Daisy's shirt being in the way with the different outfits Disney came out with and what I created. It was almost impossible to put them on and have it look right. I sat down and found out that it's a mini adventure doing this. Donald is by far easier than Daisy, and you'll see why. I decided that if I'm going to go through all the trouble of removing their shirts, I wanted to make sure that I could use the shirts again if I ever wanted to. Plus, it's kind of fun to see other nuiMOs wear their shirts. Hahaha. Here's What You'll Need: Small scissors Seam ripper Needle and thread Velcro or other closure Felt or other fabric  DONALD'S SHIRT As stated previously, I bega

Crochet Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus Outfits

Image
Almost a month ago I crocheted some Santa hats for my nuiMOs. I had run out of my crochet thread I made for Jack's hat and so I had to dress him in what I had available. Well, I finally found some crochet thread at Michael's that was the perfect match! So I finally got to work on making Jack and Sally cute Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus outfits. (Or Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Claws, whatever you'd like.) I'm so happy with how they turned out. I'm going to be sharing the patterns on this blog post, so it's going to be a long one. Take your time when looking over and let me know if there are any mistakes. Please remember that these patterns are being shared for personal use only. Don't duplicate or make any products from these patterns for purchase. Thank you! What You'll Need: Red crochet thread (super fine 1) Fluffy white yarn/material E Hook (3.50 mm) Scissors Needle Thread Crochet stitch counter Velcro, or some other kind of closure  Elastic for bow American Abbre

Crochet Santa Hat

Image
'Tis the Season for Holiday crafting! With the lack of Holiday outfits from shopDisney, I knew that I had to find something to dress my nuiMOs. The sweaters above aren't made by me or Disney, they're $3 ornaments from Target! There are four to choose from and a little tricky to put on. You have to start one foot at a time and go slowly to get the rest. I may adjust them to make it easier in the future. Anyway, onto the crochet patterns. That's right, I said pattern s . There are two versions of the Santa hat. One is made with this thin yarn (I think it's used to lacework) that I've had lying around and the other is made with Red Heart yarn and has ear holes put right in so we don't lose Mickey or Minnie's ears. As per the norm, I'm in America so the abbreviations in the pattern are accordingly so; and I'm sharing these in good faith. Please don't use these for monetary gain.  What You'll Need: Red yarn (thin or regular) Fluffy white yar

Crochet LUCA (Sea Monster) Onesie

Image
This was the first character I wanted to make into a onesie. This character is Luca in his sea monster form from the upcoming PIXAR movie LUCA. I think he's adorable so I had to make something of him! To do this onesie you'll have to go back to the crochet sweater pattern to understand how I accomplished the top and sleeves. And as another construction note, the back opening will be quite large so you'll have to sew up some of the bottom starting from the legs to aesthetic and wearing purposes. Remember, I'm located in America so the pattern abbreviations are accordingly so. And, as usual, I'm sharing these patterns in good faith. Please don't sell the pattern or any product made from it. Thanks! What you'll need: Thinner yarn (Green, Blue, Yellow, Red) 3.5 mm (E) hook Scissors Stitch marker Yarn needle Closure (snaps or velcro) for the back Optional: Buttons for eyes  Abbreviations: MAR = magic adjustable ring  st = stitch sc = single crochet dc =
