NuiMOs Refrigerator

The next piece of furniture is actually an appliance: the refrigerator! This is another piece that I started with a box that I had. I thought that I was the perfect size for a nuiMO to use. It was a lot better than having to cut out all the individual pieces for the body/structure of the fridge. And I was lucky enough that this one opened up sideways.

Here's what you'll need:

  • A Box
  • Thinner Cardboard
  • Hot Glue and Hot Glue Gun
  • Craft Foam
  • Bamboo Skewers


In the first two photos I show how I decided to design the doors. I wanted my freezer to be on the bottom so I cut the door accordingly. I then added a piece of cardboard to separate the two main compartments

I then added a box to the freezer door that was just the right size to be snug but not to the point where it was difficult to slide out.


I then focused on the main compartment. I made two little shelves out of thin cardboard for the inside, but I had to make sure that the didn't go all the way to the front. I needed to make sure that I had room for the shelves that I added to the door so it would close flush.


After finishing the inside, I covered the outside with craft foam. I covered it by doing the top, the back, the sides, and then the doors. I wanted to make sure when you looked at it from the front that you couldn't seem any seams. I then used the bamboo skewers as handles. And something I forgot to take a picture is gluing a Mickey head shape to the front to give some Disney magic.

 Okay. I really, really hope this works. This is my first times making some printable patterns, so there's probably going to be some hiccups. Let me know in the comments and I will try to figure it out. These should fit onto a 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper each, for scale. These patterns are designed with a very small seam allowance. (The collars of the shirts even more so.) You can make clothes by hand-sewing or use a machine. The hems are only one fold vs. the regular double-fold. Just makes it easier to handle. But this also means you're not going to want to use fabric that will fray a lot. For notions you will need 1/4" elastic black/white and some velcro. I bought a 2" thick velcro and then cut it into tiny 1/4" strips for the shirts. Show me your cute designs made with these patterns. nuiMOs Sorcerer Mickey Outfit (And Shoes)

It's time for a new pattern! This is one that I've been wanting to make for some time now and I finally got around to making it. I thought it would adorable to see Mickey in his Sorcerer's Apprentice outfit and, boy, was I right! The fabric I had turned out to be little tricky but in the end it worked out.  Please remember that I'm sharing these patterns in good faith. Don't use these patterns for selling purposes. These are for personal use only. Adobe did something weird when enabling editing on the photo, lol. Shoe here are the patterns to make his outfit. I made a shoe pattern because he has brown shoes and I didn't purchase any of that color. As it says, there are two patterns on there and I used the bottom set. Crochet Shoes (Flats, Mary Jane's, and Boots Included)

My nuiMO collection has grown exponentially and with more friends means a lack of shoes. Have you noticed this? My friends definitely needed more shoes and I thought I could figure out a crochet pattern fairly easily. I found out quickly that I had to make two patterns because Tigger's feet are huge compared to others' feet. I hope that's the case for everyone that owns him. With these patterns you can't stop at certain points to make certain types of shoes. You can make: flats, Mary Jane's, regular shoes, and boots. It's notated in the patterns where you can do this.
